Have the WP40 running for 4 months now, no problems. Very powerful, have it set on the lowest setting(50%) for my 125 gal.(72"x18"x20") tank.
It is mostly quite, but you can hear a buzzing if you listen. It is more noticeable on the pulse(wave) setting because the pump turns on and off. If it's on constant you won't notice as much. It's almost silent on the lowest setting.

If I was the competition I think I would be shaking in my boots for sure! This thing is BESSSSST value for money and incredibly good at making waves in the tank! Best deal in
